EVENT | Casio G-Sessions Launch

Let’s talk watches. A couple of days ago I was invited to celebrate the launch of the G-SHOCK G-sessions by Casio Pop-Up Store. The Pop-Up stores are part of the G-Sessions, a search to celebrate G-SHOCKs 30th anniversary and to showcase international creativity, originality and individuality in several European countries.
Ph. by Christian
After several teams from different big European cities such as Milan and Barcelona successfully launched the G-sessions project, this month Amsterdam had honor to launch G-sessions by G-SHOCK. The teams are each assigned with the challenge to design a G-SHOCK watch inspired on ‘The Spirit of Absolute Toughness of G-SHOCK’. The Amsterdam G-sessions team consists of Ambassadors Tomas Overtoom & Liza Koifman from means wear label Ontfront. They are accompanied by Pieter Ceizer of PL Clothing, Mathis J. Bout of   Bureau for [urban] architecture, research and design Urbmath and Guillaume Philibert of sneaker label Filling Pieces.
Can’t wait to see what they come up with? The finished G-Shock designs from all competing teams will be produced in a very limited (10 per design to be precise) edition. In the mean while you can keep track of the Dutch team by following them on Facebook and Twitter. Or discover other teams on the G-SHOCK Facebook page.
Curious to see the G-SHOCK Pop-Up Store (located at Kalverstraat 101, Amsterdam) for yourself than you have to move fast. The Amsterdam Pop-Up store will be there for only one short week.

  3. That's a limited edition for sure!:D Really cool idea and event. I'm definitely a fan of huge, robust watches, that white one is really cool - no tiny, elegant pieces for me.:)
