VIDEO | The New Meximalism

Let talk videos. As you by now know, I have grown to become quite a fashion film fanatic. I’m fascinated by the way people are able to translate a feeling by the use of image and music put together. In this line I felt a warm connection towards the videos Mercedez Benz puts out before fashion week.

 Their latest video, made by Carine Roitfeld and Stephen Gan, fits comfortable in line with the other Mercedez fashion films, presenting the viewer a concept rather than just a cheesy commercial. The in fashion well respected Carine Roitfeld, who in the past was editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris but resigned and successfully found her own magazine CR Fashion Book two years later, in this video proofed creative enough to not only translate her ideas as a creative director but also take on the task of stylist and Designer. 

A short impression of the video: A seductive woman stands roadside in a state of reverie, whereupon she confronts a car of equal desirability, the new S-Class. They share a beguiling, dynamic attraction and she blows the car a kiss, in a new Mercedes-Benz Fashion campaign by Carine Roitfeld and Stephen Gan.
