On Saturday talented designer Jonathan Christopher Homme his menswear collection for autumn -winter 14/15. The designer who is always looking for boundaries and gender structures and is always on the search to stretch these boundaries, highlight them and transform them into wearable men’s apparel.
I really wanted to show with this collection that I can also make appealing and accessible garments, and that I have taken as a starting point for this collection. That is why I am so very honored that people like Jandino and Dave wanted to walk in my show.

The collection, titled as " Caelum et Infernum ', inspired by the different classes of society form the basis for this collection which includes oversized sportswear with biker elements , mixed with some classical pieces . The Rotterdam designer uses many different materials from knitwear to rugged leather. A cool detail about the collection were the customized Converse shoes with light sensors and designer bags with EL wire lighting.
The show hold during Mercedes - Benz Fashion Week in Amsterdam was one that was star-studded with Dutch celebrities. With one of my favorite dutch Stand- up comedian Jandino Asporaat as kick off for the show, the show started promising, setting a good fibe right from the start. Followed by actors Tygo Gernandt , Dave Mantle and Teun Kuilboer, the dutch so called´ BN´ers´ had a quite successful appearance as a catwalk model and really gave the show an extra touch.
The show was received successfully by the audience, this was very noticeable backstage where the excitement of the show was noticeable even after the show was long over. The gathered press were even fighting to capture the models and ‘BN’ers’ with designer Jonathan Christopher who I think we are going to see much more of in the near future.
Here a little clip from the show.
