Usually you don’t need to leave Amsterdam to have a good time but once in a while you have those acceptations worth traveling for. Solar festival is certainly one of them. Well packed and only the desire to have a good time, we headed for the sold out 10th edition of the Roermond resident festival.
With a broad musical line up, ranging from house, techno, electro, dubstep, hiphop, jazz, reggae, soul, disco, pop to even classical music, featuring not only established names such as, Hudson Mohawk, Great Minds, Joost van Bellen, but also some exiting new comers such as the much promising SEVDALIZA, there certainly was enough music for every one’s liking.
Even without the music the festival is a joy to walk trough, with several creative activities, creative decorations, , all in line with this year’s theme, ‘Fairytale’, the colorful festival felt like it provided a free pass for all the young creatives who have worked hard to get it to look that good.
Overall I can only say we enjoyed ourselves and looking at these pictures and realizing that even the occasionally appearing rain could not get the festival mood down, I must not be the only one.
Special thanks to Solar Festival
